State Affairs
The State Legislative Affairs Office represents the Mayor and City agencies before the State Legislature, the Governor and State agencies. The team engages state legislators and the Governor's office on issues of local and statewide significance. Their efforts are guided by the City's legislative agenda, which is proposed by the Mayor before the start of each legislative session.
Areas of primary focus for the City’s efforts in Annapolis include human services, education, transportation, economic development and infrastructure, public safety, and city fiscal health.
